Meditation and cold showers as his anchor
Dan Grey (Guest) · 18:14
I mean, you look at my day so far, my day started with a session of meditation, 20 minutes, and then I went for a grueling run and then I came home and had a cold shower and Well, actually the funny thing is one of the first things I did was I walked out to the front lawn and stood on the grass and like looked at the sun that was coming up.

So Dr. Andrew Huberman's, uh, morning routine in action.
Dan Grey (Guest) · 18:41
Yeah, basically. Yeah. I think all those things serve a purpose. And for me, I think meditation's probably been the most impactful thing I've done. Um, just because like giving yourself a chance to really slow down and Giving yourself like a chance to like, oh yeah, I guess your body and mind to regulate itself. Like, in my opinion, it's like so important. So yeah, meditation's probably been the most like important thing for me.

And, um, what are gifts that you appreciate?
Dan Grey (Guest) · 19:09
Whenever like someone like goes out of the way to like make me food or something that's gonna like fuel me to an extent, like I really appreciate that. And I really appreciate just anything that kind of contributes to my vision and my, uh, my mission, I guess. So anything that's kind of like, I guess the intention behind the gift is the most important thing.
John Milham (Host) · 19:29
Looking at the, at the giver, not necessarily the gift. Yeah.
Dan Grey (Guest) · 19:34
Yeah, for sure.

Where do you think the next challenges are coming from for you, for, and for people like yourself?
Dan Grey (Guest) · 19:41
Each day has its own challenges, but, um, if I'm talking about something specific like employment or, um, anything like that, as long as like there's support resources there, like I feel like that's gonna be like the most important thing. Yeah, because it's really hard when you're trying in a job or trying anything and you don't feel backed up by the people that are around you. So, um, yeah, creating those support resources is like the most important thing.
John Milham (Host) · 20:07
Yeah, absolutely. And, um, as you look around, what do you think the people around you should know? That they're not quite getting, getting it right yet with? This is the, this is the question that says, you know, I can solve all the world's problems just by doing this.
Dan Grey (Guest) · 20:25
Like an example of something which is kind of, it's not a big deal, but it's something which highlights the challenge. I was working on like a job allocation the other day and it got to about 5 in the afternoon. I was working so hard to try and make it perfect. And then like my mom came in and put this like piece of paper on my desk saying basically like, this is how you should structure it. And I was like, well, I've been working on it for the past 4 hours. I'm not gonna go back and start changing the structure now. So it's difficult to communicate that, but I dunno, I think once they start to connect the dots a little bit about how I go, how we function.
John Milham (Host) · 21:07
Yeah.
Dan Grey (Guest) · 21:07
Then it can help like. In that regard. Yeah.
John Milham (Host) · 21:11
Um, connection. You've, you've talked about connection a lot. What's your secret to good connection in the world?
